Get ready for some summer fun! 🎡 The 171st Northern Maine Fair is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to see you there. We are hard at work preparing the grounds for our 171st year, and we want to make sure you have all the details to plan your perfect fair visit. Here is everything you need to know:

Who is invited to join the fun?

Absolutely everyone! This fair is built by the community, for the community. Whether you are a lifelong Aroostook County local, a neighbor from across the border, or a visitor looking to experience the heart of Northern Maine, there is a place for you here. We have designed our events to cater to all ages, from livestock lovers and gearheads to families looking for a safe, exciting place for their children to play and learn.

What can you look forward to doing?

The better question is: what isn’t happening? You can spend your morning cheering on our hardworking youth at the 4-H livestock shows, and your afternoon feeling the ground shake at the grandstands during our famous demolition derbies and truck pulls. If you’re looking for a thrill, the Midway rides are waiting! Between the live music and the cultural showcases, don’t forget to grab a classic doughboy or some local produce. Kids will also love the “Lil’ Lumberjacks” venue, where they can get a hands-on education about our region’s forestry heritage.

When should you mark your calendar?

We’ll be celebrating for five full days of fun from Wednesday, August 5, through Sunday, August 9, 2026. To make sure you don’t miss a single event, here is our general schedule:

• Wed–Fri: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Where are we meeting up?

We are meeting right here in beautiful Presque Isle! Every year, we transform our historic fairgrounds into a massive celebration of Aroostook County’s rich agricultural roots and community spirit. It’s the perfect backdrop to celebrate the traditions that make Northern Maine such a special place to live and visit.

Because there is simply nothing like a Maine summer fair to bring people together. This isn’t just about rides and food; it’s about honoring our region’s heritage, supporting local farmers and exhibitors, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
