Welcome to the Realm of Twin Riverswood Renaissance Faire
A Autumn Tradition Born in Limestone
The Realm of Twin Riverswood Renaissance Faire was created in 2019 in order to help promote tourism to Limestone and surrounding area during the fall season, and with the exception of 2020 (COVID year) it has become an annual event featuring entertainers such as the Recycled Shakespeare Companyin the past, and informative demonstrations such as blacksmithing by Eugene Katsman at Katspaw Forge and Matt Grandy of Lignous Alces Woodworking every year.
What is New for This Year’s Theme
Every year there is a different theme and every year something new is added to the event -last year it was thrown weapons range and dragon races for children this year is the addition of a new section of Merchants Row called Book Nook for local poets and authors to have their booths.
Children’s Activities and Sword Combat Demonstrations
Every year there is the Knight and Damsels Tea for the young onesat the Children’s Pavilion on Sunday and the Stormwalkers of W.A.R.G. will be on hand to showcase their sword skills as well as overseeing archery and axe throwing for youth in the General Arena(fenced in softball field).
Featured Musical and Dance Performances
This year Albutat Alqabiha Belly Dance from Bangor will be performing both days of the event and Amy Kercsmar, harpist and recording artist from Unity will have two performances on September 12, wwith other entertainers performing throughout the two day event.
Explore the Unique Shops on Merchants Row
Merchants Row will have several interesting booths including Havoc Paradise, The Wolf and The Raven, Someday Comes Art CoOP, LLC among others and The Glen area will have some of the more mystical merchants such as Tiffany’s Divine Connection oth which will be located in the bbaseball/ soccer field net to the playground area at Albert Michaud Memorial Park.
Rent Your Garb at the Central Pavilion
The Realm of Twin Riverswood pavilion will have loaner garb, information on the Realm and other historical interest, raffle items as well as items for sale.
About Our Nonprofit Educational Mission
Realm of Twin Riverswood is a 501(c)7 non profit organization founded in 2013 as a medieval /historical educational organization which covers the area from Fort Kent area down to just before Houlton. Realm of Twin RiverswoodRenaissance Faire is the only Renaissance Faire in the Aroostook County area.
